MIPS Getaway Competition Terms and Conditions
Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter of the competition is Medical Indemnity Protection Society (MIPS) (ABN 64 007 067 281) Level 37, 55 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000.
The competition period commences 12.01am Monday 17 March 2025 until 11:59 pm Sunday 4 May 2025 (the competition period).
Who can enter
To enter, you must:

be over 18 years of age; and
-
be an Ahpra registered medical practitioner (in training) who graduated from medical school in 2020, 2021, 2022 or 2023 and;
-
reside and practice within Australia; and;
-
not be an existing member of MIPS; and
-
consent to MIPS collecting and using your information for marketing purposes in accordance with their Privacy Policy and to contact you via phone or email.
Directors, management and employees of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate, and immediate family members of each of these persons are ineligible to enter.
How to enter
You must visit our website at www.mips.com.au and apply for MIPS membership during the competition period.
Entry is limited to one per prospective member.
MIPS reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process, including but not limited to, making multiple entries, or for otherwise submitting an entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions.
Prizes
Three (3) prizes that consist of two (2) $2,500 Flight Centre Gift Card for a combined total of $5,000 per prize for a total prize pool of $15,000. Flight Centre Gift Cards have been provided by Australian OpCo Pty Ltd (ABN 20 003 279 534) trading as Corporate Traveller. All Rights Reserved.
Flight Centre Gift Cards are valid for use within three (3) years from the date of sale.

Lost, stolen, damaged or expired prizes are not replaced nor refunded.
If for any reason any prize is not available, it will be substituted with a prize of equal or greater value at the Promoter’s discretion.
Selection of winners
This is a game of chance and winners will be selected via random draw, subject to entries meeting the entry criteria.
The draw will take place at Medical Indemnity Protection Society, Level 37, 55 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000, on Wednesday 7 May 2025 at 11:00am.
Notification of winners
The winners will be notified by telephone and/or in writing via email within two (2) business days of the draw.
MIPS reserves the right to request verification of identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to the entry. Any requirements regarding verification will be at the Promoters discretion.
Winners details (last name, first initial and postcode) will be published within 30 days of the major prize draw and/or unclaimed prize draw on mips.com.au for a period of 28 days after the draw.
Unclaimed prizes
If necessary, a second chance draw will be held at least three (3) months after the initial draw on Wednesday 6 August 2025 at 11:00am at MIPS, Level 37, 55 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000, to distribute any unclaimed prize. Winners will be notified by telephone and/or in writing via email within two (2) days of the draw.
Prizes are not variable nor transferable, and they are not redeemable for cash. The Promoter’s decisions will be final and binding; no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, misdirected entries nor other communications.
Publicity
Entrants consent to the use of their image and name for promotional activities by the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and acknowledge that it is a condition of taking the Prize that all winners agree to promotional activities, including the use of their names and images without additional compensation.
General
MIPS is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. All entrants indemnify the Promoter and its related bodies corporate against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of accepting the Prize or participation in the Promotion, including but not limited to loss of income and personal injury.
MIPS reserves the right to validate of all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process, including but not limited to making multiple entries, or for otherwise submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions
MIPS is not liable for any loss or damage which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or direct loss, or for personal injury sustained during the course of participating in this promotion
Where this competition is communicated and/or conducted via a social media platform (including, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn and/or Twitter), entrants acknowledge that use of social media platforms are subject to their terms and conditions of use. The entrant is responsible and liable for the content of their entries and any other information they transmit. The promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, nor associated with any social media platform. Any questions or complaints about the promotion must be directed to MIPS, not to any social media platform used in conjunction with the promotion. Entrants acknowledge they are providing their information to MIPS and not to any social media platform.
If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.
Entries remain the property of MIPS and its related bodies corporate. Details from entries may be collected and used for the purposes of conducting the competition, and for marketing and promotional purposes. By participating in the competition, entrants consent to the use of their information as described.
